Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Thin Mints & Peanut Butter Creme Bar & Taken 2
Junk Food Nation, I’m off to an all-day trial in my attorney alter-ego life, so I don’t have much time to opine on anything this morning. Instead, I’ll just leave you with this movie trailer I just saw:
Taken 2??? REALLY? While I loved the first Taken, and will undoubtedly watch this one as well, how far are we going to go with this? I’m waiting for Taken 3– Liam Neeson, whispering into a phone “Kim…listen very carefully…the trash on the corner. It’s going to be taken. On Monday morning, around 9:00.”
Anywho, today’s junk food: Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Thin Mints & Peanut Butter Creme Bars!
I found these Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Thin Mints & Peanut Butter Creme Bars at CVS after a tip from my friend Andrew. I can finally complete my collection of reviews after Monday’s take on the Samo*…sorry, Caramel & Coconut Crunch Bar. Stupid naming trickery.
Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Thin Mints & Peanut Butter Creme Bars continue Nestle’s trend of taking the most popular Girl Scout cookie flavors and making them into candy bars. I can only assume that Girl Scouts are getting a share of the profit here.
We have Girl Scout cookie ice cream, Girl Scout cookie candy bars…what will be sponsored next? I say cooking marinade.
Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Thin Mints were tasty and on point. As my favorite Girl Scout cookie, I was really excited to try this variation. And it tasted just as expected – good cocoa flavor and lots of mint flavoring. I didn’t really taste a difference between the multiple cocoa wafers and the airy crispies on top, but the whole thing did have a nice crunch to it. Honestly, there was no surprise here – it looked like it would taste like a bigger crunchier Thin Mint, and that’s exactly what it was. Check out the reviews by The Impulsive Buy and the Foodette – they’re right with me; not much to say, these bars just lived up to expectation.
This Nestle Limited Edition Girl Scout Cookie Flavors Peanut Butter Creme Bar was REALLY good. I am gonna say something blasphemous, but I think I liked this bar better than the Thin Mint variety! Which is strange, because in cookie form, Tagalongs are my least favorite amongst Thin Mints and Samoas.
Basically, this bar was wafer-y, loaded with chocolate peanut butter flavor! JUST like a Tagalong, but the format made it taste even better. Essentially, as soon as I took a bite of these, my mind IMMEDIATELY went to Little Debbie Nutty Bars. Remember those? Takes me back to my childhood days. This Crunch Bar was a spot on match, maybe with a little more chocolate. Crunchy, and packed with that wafer/peanut butter flavor.
All three Crunch Bars were very successful, IMO. If you have the chance, however, I highly recommend the Peanut Butter one – you won’t be disappointed.
PURCHASED AT: CVS

Cooking marinade? How about a dessert syrup instead? I want samoas syrup on my tagalong ice cream!
@Nick: SAMOAS SYRUP!? Now THAT’S a great idea!
Dang, I bought two Thin Mint bars and a Samoas bar (yeah, I said it) last night because I didn’t think I’d like the Peanut Butter one. Now I have to go back to CVS!
First of all, too expensive, but I suppose they have to cover the cost of the TV commercials I’ve been seeing everywhere for these things. Awesome.
The Thin Mints bar was amazing – I’m going to try the second one frozen, which is my favorite way to eat Thin Mints cookies. There’s something about the cold that makes them extra minty.
And I can say this because I used to sell these cookies, but I always thought Tagalongs were an ethnic name. It sounded tribal to me – it wasn’t until much, MUCH later in life that I realized they were two words put together – tag alongs. Moron…
@Teresapalooza: Tagalongs, ethnic? LOL
Guess I better move on to the peanut butter creme bars! Thanks for adding the price/source info, JFG.
@Lindemann: Git it! lol
I went to two CVS stores today to purchase a BOX of each “flavor,” all because of this blog entry (I spent $4.29 a box, but I think my CVS card helped me save 50 cents or something, because my total was $15 and some change for two boxes of thin mints and a box each of tagalongs and samoas).
Anyway, I stumbled upon your site yesterday after researching whether Neopolitan Oreos existed, or if my cousin was full of shit. Not only did I discover he wasn’t fabricating the existence of a cookie that I am now on the hunt for, but I also found this website which is now a bookmark on the first page of my smartphone. I may now spend way too much money on food that isn’t good for me, because I want to eat everything you review.
@Trina: Nice to meet you! I’m happy my blog was of some help with either the Oreos or the Girl Scout Cookies. That
s the whole point of this thing – to provide info to those in need. Welcome aboard!
