JFG Nation, why do I not take the day after the Super Bowl off? I feel gross and am completely braindead. It’s not even because I’m all boozed out…although I’m sure that’s the problem for most. For me, it’s that I have consumed enough meat, carbs, salt, and cheese to give me juuuuuuuust enough of an unpleasant night’s sleep so that Monday morning I hate life and the LAST place I want to go is work. Ugh.

Some quick thoughts from the game:

1) The over/under on Gaga’s National Anthem was 2 min, 20 secs, which she cheated gamblers after she finished the first BRAAAAAVE under 2:20, but then went on to sing TWO MORE “BRAAAAAVES” after that. WTF???? You can’t just repeat the last word of the song to extend the experience! If someone kept repeating “TO YOOOOUUUUU” at the end of Happy Birthday we’d all glare at that person.

2) I mentioned that Emmanuel Sanders was probably the only matchup that favored the Broncos, and it showed: 8 targets, 6 catches, 83 yards.

3) I think I’m done with Super Bowl commercials. With the internet in general and especially YouTube, the virality of Super Bowl commercials is at an all-time low. Plus, no scantily clad women in GoDaddy commercials? IT’S LIKE THIS ISN’T EVEN THE SUPER BOWL.

4) Biggest food hit of the Super Bowl party I went to – my friend Andrew’s version of the Brookie (brownie + cookie):

Where does the cookie end and the brownie begin? NO ONE KNOWS! I just closed my eyes and chomped, I WASN’T SCARED.
