Junk Food Nation, a favorite show of mine and many my age was Arrested Development, a FOX show about a dysfunctional family that originally ran from November 2, 2003 – February 10, 2006.  It had a huge cult following and recently it was announced that the show would be returning for a limited run leading up to a movie.

I’ll always remember Arrested Development for spring-boarding Michael Cera’s career and revitalizing Jason Bateman’s.  And I will always remember David Cross’s character Tobias, especially his attempts to join the Blue Man Group but covering himself with blue paint.

Well, in concert with the announcement that the show would be returning, an artist out there mocked up this gem of fake junk food: Ben & Jerry’s Tobias Funke’s I Just Blew Myself Ice Cream!

The Fake Money Shot

Pretty ingenious. I won’t even bother trying to explain all the funny things about this ice cream – either you’ve seen the show or you haven’t – but the idea of little white chocolate “Cut Offs” in any ice cream should be funny to anyone.  (I mean, c’mon, you can see little white chocolate shorts on the tub!  I LOL-ed all night when I saw this.)

It got me thinking what other flavors of entertainment-inspired Ben & Jerry’s I’d like to see?  Maybe GLEE ice cream, a red-slushie sherbet ice cream swirled with white chocolate L’s? Maybe Fight Club Ice Cream – a dual colored ice cream that looks like its different flavors but is actually ALL THE SAME FLAVOR. (Why am I not consulting on this crap?)
