MICRO-REVIEW: Hannah Max Limited Edition Harvest Pumpkin with Roasted Pepitas Cookie Chips
Today’s junk food: Hannah Max Limited Edition Harvest Pumpkin with Roasted Pepitas Cookie Chips!!!
When I opened this bag of Hannah Max Limited Edition Harvest Pumpkin with Roasted Pepitas Cookie Chips and sniffed, I only got slight pumpkin smells – but I got a TON of cinnamon, nutmeg, all that spices that you’d normally taste in a pumpkin bread. The cookies themselves were super crisp which was unsurprising; I’ve reviewed Hannah Max before and have always loved its quality.
Popping a couple in my mouth, I chewed – and these were REALLY delicious. But these cookies are a perfect example of the question, “What does ‘Pumpkin Spice’ actually mean?” Is it PUMPKIN? Or is it just the SPICES which go with pumpkin? Because the flavor profile here was the latter – lots of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, all of that good stuff. Chewing on these cookies, these could have been a gingerbread base or a snickerdoodle base, with the pumpkin SPICES taking these cookies into a whole other delicious level. I didn’t get a ton of pumpkin flavor, although towards the end before I swallowed I did get that sort-of-familiar pumpkin bread aftertaste.
All in all, really good, but best for people looking for pumpkin SPICE cookies, and not PUMPKIN spice cookies. But I’d definitely buy these again – they were super tasty.
