MICRO-REVIEW: Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar
Today’s junk food: Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar!!
Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar was purchased at Giant, which is known as Stop ‘n Shop in some places. Giant is doing their thing where everything on the shelf is themed, so of course this was out there along with pumpkin cookies, pumpkin chips, pumpkin soap, pumpkin towels, pumpkin glass, pumpkin Q-tips, and pumpkin tires. Who knew they also made pumpkin shoe polish and pumpkin RedBox? Not me.
Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar contains sweet potato chips, which gives the crunch. I was hoping the crunch would be from rice crisps. Boo.
Opening this Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar, it smelled….sort of pumpkin-y. I picked up notes of clove and nutmeg.
I ate a cube of this Giant Food Pumpkin Spice Crunch Milk Chocolate Bar and…..bleach, NO. This was not. Good.
The pumpkin flavor was sort of there, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem is that this was a BAD CHOCOLATE BAR. The chocolate felt/tasted a little waxy and dry, and didn’t melt on the tongue nicely. The “crunch” was inconsistent and not crispy enough, and I felt like my mouth was filled with tiny bits of cardboard. While the flavor overal wasn’t bad, the actual underlying product was just bad. Bad bad bad.
This is clearly someone just chemically adding pumpkin flavor to a shitty product. NO. Avoid.
Purchased at: Giant, Bethesda, MD
Cost: $2
Sincerely,
The JFG

I just read the ingredients…wtf is a “cocoa mass”?
What is cocoa mass? Are you kidding me? ….
It’s cocoa dry weight mixed with cocoa butter. Completely normal in chocolates.
Pumpkin does NOT go with chocolate! I wish they would stop trying to force it. Haha!!!!
