Review: Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreo & NBA Talk: What Happens Tonight?
JFG Nation, what have we learned in the NBA Finals so far? In Game 1 & 2, we learned that unless Cleveland changed it up, the series would happen just as we thought it would: GSW’s rotations would be too quick, and the smaller Warriors lineup would run circles around the bigs of the Cavs. And that’s what happened – Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson were ineffective in defense and didn’t rebound well. Also, Kyrie and JR Smith couldn’t buy a shot.
Prior to Game 3, the Cavs needed to adjust: use their size to get physical with that smaller GSW lineup, and decide whether to play more physical half court sets to slow the tempo, or try to run with them by playing small and committing to it. Plus, Kyrie and JR Smith needed to actually HIT shots and not go 8 for 57 or whatever. Luckily (?) for the Cavs, the Love injury slotted Lebron at the 4 and they were able to both – play a faster tempo while being more physical in the post. The shooters hit their stride and I was amazed at how much of a difference the instruction “JUST KEEP YOUR ARMS UP” made.
So what happens tonight? Can GSW readjust? Will Kevin Love’s return ruin Cleveland’s rhythm? Let me know in the comments below. I personally think GSW wins in a squeaker tonight, but we’ll see.
Today’s junk food: Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreo!!
Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreos! Like the Fruity Crisp Oreos, these are the newest flavor to hit the shelves. Pie flavors, Oreo? I like the trend. But I know the Nosh Show guys and myself are still waiting for a coffee/Tiramasu flavor to be released.
Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreos are COOL LOOKING! Look at that color! Beautiful – that light purple/violet? I feel like I’m in a Wonka film.
Sniffing the package I didn’t really smell any blueberry or any graham from the cookie. They smelled like… Well, Golden Oreos.
The light purple creme of these Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreo tasted a LOT of blueberry. I would liked it to be more tart to resemble the fruitiness more but I’m not going to complain – the creme nailed blueberry flavor without a doubt. It was like eating blueberry ice cream/frosting. Not overly cloying; nicely round flavor.
Eaten with the graham cookie, I thought these Limited Edition Blueberry Pie Oreo were very good. More blueberry muffin flavor than blueberry pie flavor due to the lack of tart, but still pretty delicious nevertheless. I definitely think these were more successful than the Strawberry Shortcake Oreos – maybe blueberry flavor is easier to mimic. The creme and cookie produced the same sweet pastry flavor I get with a blueberry scone, muffin, cupcake, cake donut, but in cookie form.
Loved the flavor, loved the look, loved these.

When did you get these? I specifically went to this Target on Tuesday and they didn’t have them!
AHH!
Took three Target runs to find them, but totally worth it. These are very yummy!
Found these the other day at my local Fishers, Indiana Super Target. The blueberry taste is very good and “authentic”, but I would not say they have a blueberry pie taste. I know Oreos are not known for having a butter taste, but I would have ideally found that in this product.
