MICRO-REVIEW: Toasted Coconut & Sea Salt Triscuit (Martha Stewart Summer Edition)
Today’s junk food: Toasted Coconut & Sea Salt Triscuit (Martha Stewart Summer Edition)!!
Opening this box of Marta Stewart Summer Edition Toasted Coconut & Sea Salt Triscuit, a faint smell of coconut came wafting out. I like coconut, so the smell was pleasant – not over the top, but there enough to know that cococnut is happening. The Triscuits themselves looked no different than other Triscuits I’d had – maybe there was some brownish coconut flake on here, but color-wise it blended in. Popping one into my mouth, I chewed….and quickly fell in love. I dunno what to say – I REALLY liked these. It was a sweet cracker! I can’t think of any previous time that Triscuit has gone the sweet route with its flavor profiles, but I fully endorse this move. The first taste I got was a sweet brown sugar (almost caramel-y) flavor. It was light, however – and then the toasted coconut flavor quickly emerged. The more I chewed, the more the brown sugar/toasted coconut combo tasted almost buttery – the overall flavor sort of reminded me of a sweet coconut oil. Despite this generally sweet flavor, the sea salt helped cut it so that the result flavor was semi-kettle-corn-ish. Like, that perfect balance of sweet and salty that tips slightly toward sweet. Before I knew it, half the box was gone. This lightly sweet cracker was really well done. Nice work, Martha Stewart. I highly recommend these if you (1) like coconut, and (2) want a sweet cracker. Do you like Frosted Mini Wheats? Then you’ll understand where this flavor profile is going. Buy these.

Kind of creepy how Martha is off-centeredly emerging from a bolus of light there
@Lindemann: It’s her glowing personality.
These sound really good! I’d like to try them with some honey goat cheese.
I like to think we can’t see Matha’s other arm because she’s hiding a meticulously hand-crafted shiv from her prison days.
@Jeni: Re Shiv – LOL
OoOoOohh.. I might have to look for these. I had the Brown Rice Sweet Potato & Sea Salt flavor awhile back, pretty tasty. Lots of brown sugar, buttery and salty (in a good way) goodness.
I completely agree, these are amazing! I plan on stocking up since it is a summer edition.
@Midge: Right? The reviews on these seem to be consistent surprise as to how good these are
Smear them with a touch of Nutella! Mmmmm
@CKO: EXCELLENT IDEA!~
I found these incredibly delicious, and I really wish I could get more. All the stores in my area are sold out – and I was really pissed to see a couple of outrageous ebay listings for it. Yes it’s Martha Stewart, yes it’s just a summer edition, but damn. People can be so horrible and greedy.
i found these in a discount store and instinctively grabbed two boxes…i should have gotten 4. they were REALLY good!
So yummy and unavailable : (
They are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo GOOD!!!! I want more and can’t find them. Mmmmmmmmm they need to be sold all the time.
I found these at a Kroger last week! Seriously delicious. I tried them with brie and smoked ham and loved the combination.
@Jeni – agree – these are still a surprisingly awesome cracker. Damn you, Martha Stewart and your perfection
These are amazing! I love to dip them into half an avocado, like scooping it out with the triscuit itself. Deeeelish! I also tried it with half a marshmallow. Pop in in the microwave for 3-5 seconds ….o m g!!!! These are the cranberry sage are my faves!
@Ashley – yeah these are pretty awesome. Triscuit definitely upping their game with these and the cran sage, for sure.
These are great by themselves but I found when you pop a dark chocolate hersheys kiss in your mouth at the same time you will find a flavor combo that seems decadent but is fairly low cal / low sugar. I do three after lunch (kiss cracker combo) and I have my sweet tooth satisfied at around 100 calories. The hard part is stopping at 3
@DukeSnyder – WHOA – great combo idea! Stopping at 3? IMPOSSIBLE
