THIRD: I WAS RECENTLY ON THE BITTERNESS AND RAGE SHOW!

Time to shine a spotlight on a sports/food podcast I’ve been listening to called the Bitterness and Rage Show. Rob, the host, discusses sports, food, basically everything I want to hear about. And *I* was fortunate to be on the show for the Thanksgiving episode (I’m in around the 32:00 mark)!

Yeah, I know I sound like I’m talking from underwater.  We’ll get that worked out next time I’m on. But seriously – Rob’s podcast is pretty awesome. SUBSCRIBE, PEOPLE.

No explanation given, but the BQB did email me why he thought the Dolphins would cover against the Ravens: “Haloti Ngata is a huge loss and Baltimore is reeling after giving away last week’s game against the Chargers.  This line implies Baltimore is better on a neutral field.  I don’t buy it.”

My LOCK OF THE CENTURY…OF THE WEEK… is the Texans -6.5.  Yeah, I know the Jags came back to beat the Giants. Did you see the previous FOUR games against NOT sucky teams? What confidence do we have that the Jags can cover leftovers with saran wrap? NONE.

FINALLY: Today’s junk food: Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos!!

Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos are not new, having been reviewed by the Impulsive Buy in…2011??? Holy hell, then why haven’t I seen these for three years?? I reviewed the Candy Cane Oreos last year, enjoyed those, and have seen the mini versions around lately…so now Oreo is putting BOTH Peppermint Creme AND Candy Cane Creme out there at the same time?

Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos and the Candy Creme Oreos LITERALLY only have like two ingredients that are different, in that the Candy Cane ones add confectioner’s glaze and carnauba wax. Seriously. That’s all I could find that were different.

I opened up these Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos and the room FILLED with peppermint smell. Very strong aroma.

Unlike the red/white divide of the Candy Cane Oreos, these Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos blended the creme together to get….pink. What? Why not just make it RED? This pink reminds me of salmon, not peppermint.

Still, as much as I am killing the color, these Limited Edition Peppermint Creme Oreos were tasty, which was so predictable.  Like the Candy Cane Oreos, these basically tasted like a Girl Scout Thin Mint cookie. Very minty, but very sweet – enough sweet to make the cookie cocoa flavor pop and balance the mintiness of the creme.  Just a standard chocolate mint balance that was well executed. Nothing too strong or out of place.

Not the most exciting review, because these aren’t the most exciting cookie – just a well done chocolate mint cookie. Trust me, I could see a lot of ways this could be done wrong, but no, Oreo, you done good here.
