Snack Factory Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chips & It’s a Wedding!
Junk Food Nation, today I’m blogging from St. Michael’s, MD, where my friends Mike and Kathryn are getting married. Congrats to them both!
St. Michael’s is home to some great fish tacos, beautiful water, and of course, the site of where many of the scenes from Wedding Crashers were filmed.
“CRABCAKES AND FOOTBALL, THAT’S WHAT MARYLAND DOES!”
Anyways, I need to get back to wedding festivities. Football picks tomorrow. Happy Saturday everyone!
Today’s junk food: Snack Factory Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chips!
I haven’t reviewed a Snack Factory product since their special holiday versions, but then I was cornered by this random girl in the grocery store pushing a Snack Factory cart. She wasn’t wearing anything specially branded, so I was a bit confused why this cute girl in a grey t-shirt and jeans wanted me to try her pretzel chips.
Her: “Hi sir, would you like to try some pretzel chips?”
Me: (Sir? Ugh.) “Um….from your cart?”
Her: “Sure.” (She opens a bag and uses some tongs to pull some chips out of the bag and drops them in my hand.) “Would you like a coupon for $1.00 off?”
Me: “Thanks…er…sure.”
Her: “What kind are you going to get? You can grab one right from this cart.”
ARGH! She’d trapped me. I got a flavor I’d been wanting to try – Snack Factory Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chips – and walked away quickly.
Honestly, there’s not much to say here, because these Snack Factory Buffalo Wing Pretzel Chips were exactly as advertised. First, the crunch was standard pretzel chip – the nice, flaky, golden brown exterior of a pretzel all in a flat chip. Good crunch, good snap. Each pretzel chip fit nicely in my mouth in one bite. If you stacked two or more of these, then you’d have a BIG crunch.
And the flavor? ON POINT. Good buffalo wing taste, with just the right amount of tangy vinegar-y taste I’m used to from buffalo wings. Good cayenne pepper taste and there’s enough lingering burn in the aftertaste to trigger the saliva glands. The taste, for me, was addicting and before I knew it, I’d finished almost all of the bag.
Just a good buffalo wing snack done right. Thumbs up, Snack Factory. I recommend this.
PURCHASED AT: Giant Food
COST: $2.99 with coupon (normally $3.99)

Yep, we love them too. Our take: http://chipreview.wordpress.com/2012/06/12/chip-review-of-the-day-4/
And you’re completely right, this flavor is very easy to eat and before you know it, you’ve consumed a bunch!! Maybe it has something to do with them being a bit lighter (healthier) than chips….?
If you haven’t tried the Cinnamon Toast Pretzel Crisps, it is amazing how much they taste like actual cinnamon toast.
@ChipReview: Cinnamon Toast???? Wow. did you guys review that too?
I love the story of how you got cornered by a cute girl in the supermarket and had to buy these chips. It’s always hard to say no to people you think aren’t salespeople and who are attractive, even when they morph into salespeople.
@Lindemann: pharmaceutical reps have it down
Pretzel girl sounds like a character from a Judd Apatow film – it goes well with you, but then the next customer just flattens her with insults. Then she gets on the train and meets Paul Rudd.
@Teresapalooza: sounds like a script! rom com about a downtrodden mouse-y girl who gives out samples at a grocery store. It could be called, “Love: Free Samples”. lol
I LOVE these. The everything variety is great too. i like to dip them in cream cheese. give it a shot! also Ive seen (on the interenet) a french toast flavor or something of the sort. Definitely want to try but I havent found them in my stores.
@Mitch: french toast flavor sounds amazing
Definitely one of my favorite pretzel products. I haven’t had them in awhile now that I think about it. I think i need to go fix that now.
@Nick: That’s my job – to remind you of indulgences you’ve forgotten!
