Love it Burger King!  Soda pairings!  I agree, soda has been overlooked too many times. Wine pairings?  HA! Do you know how hard it is to pair the right soda with my fast food? And now BK has done the work for me…Bravo, BK, Bravo.

So many great things about this photo:  First, there’s a TRIPLE Whopper??? I am not doing my job as the Junk Food Guy, because I did NOT know that. (Oh wait, yes I did, I remember those $1, $2, $3 commercials.  Nevermind.) Second, Diet Coke goes down smooth? What is this, tequila?  It’s Diet Coke, people. Third: Sprite has crisp and clear body. Like it’s a light beer.  Hilarious. Fourth, ok, I’ll admit, I have no idea what the QUAD Stacker is. Apparently it’s a smaller hamburger than the Whopper, but you can stack four patties on it. So it’s a BRICK of meat on a tiny bun. Delicious.

Although this does give me an idea…stay tuned, Junk Food Nation!

Onto today’s junk food.  You know, I didn’t think I’d revisit this old man candy, but here I am.  Wrapping up the year with old man candy.  Today’s junk food: Limited Edition Egg Nog Nips!

Now I know that you, Junk Food Nation, have already read my post about Limited Edition Pumpkin Spice Nips.  No? Well go read it now, ass.  Anyways, so you know how I feel about Nips – there’s no need to talk about that all again.  All that matters here is the flavor.  So, scroll through my photo log of these Nips, and I’ll meet you on the other side…

Well, hello there.  So yeah – these are pretty standard Nips, just egg nog flavored.  I tried one, and was pretty pleased.  The flavor: Creamy caramel, and then a wash of egg nog flavor.  I have to admit, Nips got this right.  Very egg nogg-y – round creamy flavor with a good caramel flavor underneath, plain and simple. Did this taste like Egg Nog hard candy? ….well, yeah, actually, it did.  Nice work, Nips.

Would I eat these again? Sure, if I found these in a bowl in a nursing home, then yes – I’m all in.
