Junk Food Nation, you know I love spicy things.  I like my mouth to burn, I like my brow to sweat, and I am willing to endure any stomach ailments that come with (even if I am cursing the heavens hours later). Anyways, because of this love of spice, I was Googling around when I stumbled upon this amazing amazing amazing junk food: Deano’s Jalapeno Chips!

Deano’s Jalapeno Chips websites states: “After many years in the kitchen working with all kinds of hot chile peppers, it occurred to me that everyone was trying to make their potato chips taste like jalapenos. Why not just use a real jalapeno!”  Um, as Red from Shawshank Redemption would say, “That’s Goddamn right.”  Holy cow, Junk Food Nation.  Chips MADE from slices of jalapeno????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Deano’s throws away the potato and uses pure jalapeno peppers to make this tasty treat.  They come in sea salt, cheddar and ranch flavors…and WOW do these look good.  I mean, just think…thin slices of jalapeno.  Deep fried.  Covered with seasoning and cheddar cheese powder or ranch powder.  They’re good on sandwiches.  Good on salads. Good on ice cream.

Someone send me some.  Now.  I’m drooling on my keyboard.
